The Security Engineer I will support day-to-day information security operations, protecting corporate systems and networks while assisting in the implementation and improvement of security technologies.
Assist in the implementation, testing, and deployment of security technologies, including contributing to operational documentation and runbooks
Support ongoing maintenance, updates, and optimization of existing security systems, including opportunities to automate routine security processes
Participate in the evaluation, deployment, and integration of security tools that enhance protection of corporate assets and infrastructure
Contribute to risk assessments and security exposure analyses for systems, networks, and business applications to identify vulnerabilities
Help monitor and analyze network and system security configurations to ensure secure, efficient, and cost‑effective performance
Participate in incident response efforts, including investigation, containment, remediation, and documentation for both IT and MES environments
Assist in creating and delivering periodic or ad‑hoc security reports that provide situational awareness and security metrics for internal stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
1–3 years of relevant IT experience, including at least 1 year in Security Engineering, Security Operations, or Security Planning
Strong analytical and logical thinking skills with the ability to troubleshoot and implement effective solutions
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, manage time effectively, and complete assignments on schedule
Strong teamwork and communication skills with the ability to interact positively with internal and external customers; willingness to work occasional nights/weekends and minimal local travel
Preferred
Security+ certification or other relevant security/networking certifications (e.g., Network+, CySA+, CCNA Security)
Experience supporting or operating enterprise security tools such as DLP, Antivirus, IDS/IPS, EDR, or WAF solutions
Familiarity with incident response processes, vulnerability assessment tools, or security monitoring procedures
Demonstrated ability to document procedures, develop runbooks, or contribute to security process improvements
