Northrop Grumman is a leader in technological advancements and is seeking an Associate Vulnerability Engineer/Vulnerability Engineer to join their Aeronautics Systems Sector. The role involves performing analyses of total system vulnerability to hostile threats and providing design guidance for vulnerability reduction practices.
Providing design guidance for low ballistic vulnerability design practices
Identifying potential vulnerability reduction practices, features, and systems
Assessing the air vehicle for vulnerability to chem/bio contamination and crew protection from a chem/bio event
Develop, plan, execute, analyze, and report live fire testing activities
Qualification
Required
Be completing or has completed their Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution by August 2026
Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree
Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite). Final approved U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special Access may be required to start
Be completing or has completed their Master's degree from an accredited institution or is completing their Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution by August 2026 and 2 years of engineering experience
Be majoring in or having majored in list degree majors that are acceptable for position or similar STEM degree
Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite). Final approved U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special Access may be required to start
Preferred
Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher
Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular)
Prior experience with computational electromagnetic (CEM) analysis
Prior experience with integration and testing of systems
