The Threat Intelligence Analyst will play a crucial role in the Cybersecurity and Digital Risk team, focusing on identifying and mitigating threats to BD's products and services.
In partnership with cross-functional stakeholders, collect, analyze and disseminate intelligence contextually relevant to BD’s attack surface.
Professional development in current cybersecurity best practices, intelligence gathering, and training.
Evaluate BD’s attack surface for threats and vulnerabilities across various platforms, including product development, IT infrastructure, and operational technology systems.
Monitor emerging cybersecurity and geopolitical threats and trends relevant to BD, its peers and competitors, and across the broader threat landscape.
Produce strategic, operational or tactical reports to promptly alert Cybersecurity peers and stakeholders about vulnerabilities that may impact BD operations, providing actionable risk mitigation recommendations where possible.
Work closely with Cyber Fusion Center peers, as well as stakeholders across enterprise, manufacturing, and product development, to raise awareness of threats to inform strategic and operational decision making.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations, such as HIPAA, FDA guidelines for medical devices, and ISO standards.
Support ongoing training and awareness sessions for stakeholders on best practices for cybersecurity, particularly focusing on threats to BD, BD’s customers, and their patients.
Communicate technical information to non-technical audiences and advise associates on Cybersecurity issues and approaches.
Continuously seek to improve operational processes and tools.
Qualification
Required
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or at least five years’ experience in a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on threat and vulnerability analysis, security operations, or security testing.
Strong understanding of threat intelligence analysis techniques, the cyber kill chain, MITRE frameworks, networking and networking protocols, network security and identification of system vulnerabilities.
Hands-on experience in scripting or API integrations using common scripting or programming languages such as Python or PowerShell, as well as popular operating systems including Windows, MacOS, and Linux variants.
Working knowledge of common security tools such as Qualys, Tenable, Microsoft Sentinel, and FireEye, and the application of structured analytical techniques in the use of those tools in combination with common Internet tools and services.
Familiarity with regulatory standards such as HIPAA, FDA, and ISO.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills using common tools such as Microsoft Excel or PowerBI.
Preferred
Certifications like CEH, GCTI, GMON, CompTIA CYSA+, CCNA/CCNP.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities for cross-functional stakeholders
Some experience with medical device cybersecurity, research & development, and manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
Experience with common offensive and defensive cybersecurity tools and platforms.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
