Equity Trustees is one of Australia's largest specialist trustee companies, established in 1888. They are seeking a Cyber Security Graduate to join their dedicated Cyber Security team, where the successful candidate will contribute to various security activities and develop practical skills in the field.
Monitor and triage security alerts, assist with incident investigations, and support evidence collection and documentation under the guidance of the Cyber Security team
Support vulnerability management activities including reviewing outputs, updating tracking registers, and following up on remediation progress
Assist with identity and access reviews, privileged access tracking, and maintaining accurate registers for service accounts and integrations
Support the day-to-day operation of security tools including Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike, and vulnerability management platforms
Prepare and maintain cyber security documentation, registers, and evidence to support audits, awareness campaigns, and operational activities
Participate in training, certifications, and on-the-job learning to build capability across multiple cyber security domains
Qualification
Required
A genuine interest in cyber security, information security, or technology risk, with a strong desire to learn and grow
Foundational knowledge of IT concepts including networks, systems, cloud, identity, or applications
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage tasks, maintain accurate records, and follow structured processes
Good communication skills with a collaborative, team-first approach when working with technical and non-technical stakeholders
A tertiary qualification (completed or in progress) in Information Technology, Cyber Security, Computer Science, or a related discipline
Preferred
Exposure to or understanding of Microsoft environments (M365, Azure, Windows) is highly regarded
Entry-level certifications such as SC-900, CompTIA Security+, or ISC2 CC are a bonus
