They are seeking a Cyber Systems Engineer – Cyber Engineer to support the U.S. President, Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels, focusing on cybersecurity system lifecycle tasks.
The selected candidate will collaborate with more experienced Cyber engineers to perform cybersecurity system lifecycle tasks, including:
Requirements engineering
Use case design
Logical architecture modeling
Product development
Integration
Test activities
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Project Management, Mathematics, Physics, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline is preferred from an accredited university, accompanied by 2 years of experience; or a Master’s degree in a related discipline with 0 years of experience; or 6 years of related experience may be considered instead of a degree
Applicants must possess a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is necessary to start
DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+ CE, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CCNA Security, etc.) is required to start
Candidates should have experience and understanding of basic software development practices, including coding and configuration management
Must possess strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced team environment
Must be able to work effectively within an experienced Agile Product team to develop cybersecurity systems engineering capabilities while following Program documentation and other Cyber processes
Preferred
Experience in cybersecurity systems engineering for DoD Information Systems is highly desired
A comprehensive understanding of the Cyber industry and DoD best practices for confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA) of systems is highly desirable
Having familiarity with STIGs, NIST standards, and security controls is beneficial
