CGI is an IT and business consulting services firm that offers consulting, cyber security, cloud, and IT services. They are seeking a Cyber Tools Engineer to support their cybersecurity operations by leveraging various industry-leading tools and technologies, while also enhancing their security posture in a fast-paced project focused on federal cybersecurity.
Assist in the deployment, configuration and management of cybersecurity tools including CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Palo Alto, Microsoft Defender, Trellix, Tenable, Qualys and Okta
Monitor and analyze security alerts and incidents, providing timely responses and resolutions
Collaborate with senior Engineers to implement security compliance measures and best practices
Participate in threat hunting and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks
Support the integration of security tools with existing systems and processes
Continuously learn and adapt to new cybersecurity technologies and methodologies
Contribute to the development and documentation of security policies and procedures
Provide documentation, guidance and training to end-users as needed
Qualification
Required
U.S. citizenship and successful passing of CGI background check is required prior to beginning work.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD/Public Trust clearance.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and environments
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to tasks and challenges
Basic understanding of security compliance standards and frameworks
Preferred
Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts and tools is preferred but not required
Experience deploying cyber tools in a cloud environment
Experience working in an Agile environment more specifically Scaled Agile (SAFe)
Strong communication skills and a solid understanding of IT Security concepts to include vulnerability and patch management, security operations, incident Management and incident response.
Understanding of federal cybersecurity guidance such as NIST SP 800-37 - Guide for Applying the Risk Management Framework to Federal Information Systems: a Security Life Cycle Approach and NIST 800-137 - Information Security Continuous Monitoring (ISCM) for Federal Information Systems and Organizations
