The Cybersecurity Analyst will support analysis and facilitate resolution of cybersecurity tickets, monitor systems for threats, investigate security alerts, and assist in protecting company systems from cyber-attacks.

Responsibilities

Facilitate resolution of cybersecurity tickets received via the IT service management system
Monitor cybersecurity tools for unusual activity or potential unauthorized activity
Review security events, investigate alerts, and analyze suspicious files to determine if they’re legitimate threats or false positives and escalate issues as needed
Assist with installing, configuring, and maintaining security software
Create reports detailing threat activity, cybersecurity events, and compliance status
Appropriately log actions, investigations, and findings for future reference
Conduct security research in keeping abreast of latest security issues
Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualification

Required

Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree
Knowledge of information security principles, including risk assessment and management, threat and vulnerability management, incident response, and identity and access management
Broad technical knowledge, extensive knowledge of current and upcoming IT security technologies and techniques that cover all levels of IT architecture, including those that affect business processes, data, applications, & networked systems infrastructure, as well as their effects on a diverse computing environment and a passion to stay abreast of emerging technologies
Well organized, detail oriented, & able to balance multiple priorities simultaneously
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a significant focus on attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Collaborative problem solving and ability to work closely with others
Industry Certifications: Network+, Security +, CIS
Knowledge of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and associated network protocols and concepts
Experience with modern networking and security technologies
Proven ability to work under stress in emergencies, with the flexibility to handle multiple high-pressure situations simultaneously
Ability to work well under minimal supervision
Strong team-oriented interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively with a broad range of people and roles, including vendors, IT, and business personnel
