Responsibilities

  • Support implementation of enterprise data classification and labeling standards
  • Assist with identification and inventory of sensitive data across systems
  • Help enforce data handling, retention, and protection policies
  • Partner with data owners and business stakeholders to improve data governance practices
  • Assist with execution and monitoring of data security controls aligned to regulatory requirements and internal frameworks
  • Support audit and assessment activities through documentation and evidence collection
  • Support administration and tuning of data security tools
  • Assist in improving alert fidelity and reducing false positives
  • Contribute to reporting and dashboards for data security metrics
  • Support automation and process improvement efforts where applicable
  • Stay informed on emerging data security threats and trends (e.g., insider risk, data leakage)
  • Participate in team knowledge-sharing and training initiatives
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in data protection processes

Qualification

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science
  • Foundational understanding of: Information security principles (CIA triad, least privilege, defense-in-depth)
  • Foundational understanding of: Data protection concepts (classification, encryption, DLP)
  • Basic knowledge of enterprise IT environments (cloud, endpoint, or networking concepts)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
