The company is seeking an Entry Level Voice, Data, Security (VDS) Engineer to design communication and security systems for life sciences, semiconductor, data center, and advanced manufacturing projects using AutoCAD and Revit. The role involves creating layouts, sketches, 2D/3D models, and electronic document files while coordinating complex project packages with designers and design leads.
Perform computer-aided drafting and design of electrical power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and communication systems for our client’s advanced facilities
Utilizing AutoCAD and Revit, you’ll create layouts, sketches, 2D/3D modeling, and electronic document files
Our engineers are responsible for delivery of complex packages in coordination with designers and design leads and form the core of our delivery team
Qualification
Required
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering or any closely related Engineering Degree
1 years' experience actively designing Communications/Security Systems (internship or professional experience accepted)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal and time management skills
Self-motivation to coordinate with other disciplines and customers
Ability to work in the U.S. without the need for sponsorship, now or in the future
Preferred
3.0 GPA or higher
Passed the NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
Familiarity with ANSI/TIA and BISCI standards
Familiarity with CSI Divisions 27 & 28
AutoCAD design experience
Revit Design Experience
Exposure to NEC and electrical design requirements
