Verisk Analytics is a leading data analytics and technology partner to the global insurance industry. The Global Protection Services Analyst will review global intelligence feeds and perform data analysis for safety and security incidents affecting Verisk employees and facilities.
Execute quantitative tasks to include work within Power BI platform, working closely with Data Analytics colleagues, and collecting and analyzing quarterly metrics.
Perform facility assessments, evaluating inherent risks, mitigation actions, and remaining residual risks of safety/security of Verisk global facilities.
Liaison with facility leads and BU managers in preparation for possible crisis incidents. Incidents can include increased geopolitical tensions and civil unrest situations.
Create a corporate risk assessment and traveler protocols for employees traveling to high-risk locations, These reports are updated annually or when an employee is planning to travel. Brief the employee and their manager before travel may commence.
Research, monitor, and prepare various geo-political risk assessments.
Review and update the Facility Safety/Security playbook and Employee-facing Safety/Security playbooks.
Support the Corporate-wide emergency notification system. Provide training and support to local facility/BU’s notification system administrators to ensure they have timely messaging capability. Ensure that administration rights are provided appropriately (by BU or facility). Act as the main contact with the notification system vendors to discuss features or technical issues.
Qualification
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics or a risk-related field.
Superior organization and written communication skills, coupled with strong technical writing and / or editorial skills and the ability to develop, document, and maintain methodologies and procedures.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including MS Excel and PowerPoint, and experience with vendor risk tracking platforms is a plus.
Quantitative and qualitative analysis capabilities and communicating findings effectively and efficiently.
Self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work independently on multiple projects with minimal supervision and meet aggressive deadlines is essential.
Willing and able to travel on short notice.
Knowledge of security management, business operations, risk management, response management, and physical security assessments (ASIS).
Preferred
Analytical, consulting, presentation, and project management skills preferred
2+ years of experience in global incident response, crisis management, and support preferred
Experience in developing and maintaining case management, evidence collection, report preparations, and documentation of substantiated findings preferred
Knowledge of facility assessments and evaluating inherent risks preferred
