TalentAlly is seeking an Associate Cyber Analyst as part of National Grid's Graduate Development Program, aimed at recent college graduates aspiring for leadership roles. The role involves supporting the Cyber Security team in detecting cyber-attacks, collaborating with security teams, and implementing cybersecurity solutions.
Collaborate & Define Needs: Work with business and product teams to define needs, identify problems, evaluate potential solutions, and implement improvements.
Cybersecurity Solutions: Analyze business needs and implement cybersecurity solutions that align with our operational goals.
Fault Handling: Identify and respond to faults, liaise with third-party suppliers and handle escalations through to resolution.
Team Support: Collaborate with multiple security teams to provide support and guidance.
Challenge & Innovate: Bring your ideas to the table and work alongside talented, highly skilled team members to improve our methods.
Documentation: Document all system changes in line with Change Management best practices.
Stay Informed: Maintain and develop your knowledge of technological trends to stay ahead in the field.
Career Growth: Successful graduates may progress into roles such as Cyber Security Analyst, Threat Intelligence Analyst, Network Security Engineer, or Security Orchestration Engineer.
Qualification
Required
Bachelor or Master's degree from an accredited institution preferably in cyber security, computer science, software engineering, systems engineering, information technology, or a related field.
Graduated between May 2025 and June 2026
Ability to begin the National Grid Graduate Program on June 8, 2026, or July 13, 2026
Valid driver's license required with a safe driving history that meets National Grid's Safe Driver policy
Work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States (such as sponsorship for an H-1B, TN, O, L, STEM OPT, or other employment-based work authorization)
Preferred
Knowledge of various scripting and programming languages (e.g., Java, Perl, Bash, R, Python, C++).
Experience with operating systems (e.g., Windows, UNIX/Linux).
Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, MITRE ATT&CK).
Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, or endpoint protection platforms.
Previous experience in Cyber Security.
