TELUS is a leading technology company in Canada, seeking recent graduates for their Graduate Technology Leadership Program focused on Cybersecurity Applications. The program offers hands-on experience through rotations across different teams, developing technical expertise and leadership skills while contributing to security controls, threat intelligence, and incident response activities.
Contribute to the design, implementation, and management of security controls and architectures that protect TELUS' critical assets, networks, and customer data
Engage in threat intelligence, security monitoring, and incident response activities to maintain a proactive security posture
Implement and automate security practices within CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps) to ensure security is embedded from the start of the development lifecycle
Assess vulnerabilities and risks across various technology domains, including cloud platforms, enterprise networks, and applications
Leverage security information and event management (SIEM) tools, endpoint detection and response (EDR), and other advanced security technologies
Qualification
Required
You must be a recent grad within one year or be expecting to graduate by August 2026 with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical degree
Minimum 4-12 months of relevant professional work, internship or co-op experience in a technical environment
Demonstrated leadership potential through academic projects, community involvement, extracurricular activities, or volunteer work
Takes ownership and initiative in approaching challenges and driving results
Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, C++, etc.)
Solid understanding of software development fundamentals and best practices
Strong aptitude for rapidly acquiring new programming languages, frameworks, and technologies
Adaptable and comfortable working with unfamiliar tools and evolving technical landscapes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to convey technical concepts clearly
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively in team environments
