Lockheed Martin is a leader in aerospace and defense, and they are seeking an Information System Security Officer to join their Space facility in Herndon, Virginia. The role involves ensuring the security of information systems and compliance with cybersecurity requirements, while contributing to national security efforts.
Support day-to-day information system security operations including hardware and software implementations
Carry out technical security administration of IS in accordance with internal LM and customer cybersecurity requirements, primarily the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
Upkeep, monitor, analyze, and respond to network and security events
Document compliance actions within the approved automated compliance tracking system or develop a plan of actions and milestones (POA&M) with the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to address non-compliance in the allotted time frame
Ensure systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with internal security policies and practices outlined in the security plan
Auditing is a large part of this role’s responsibility
Qualification
Required
TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a CI polygraph
Have and maintain a DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or Higher or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
Hands-on experience with industry standard Information Assurance tools
Technical familiarity with Windows or UNIX-based operating systems, and their security requirements
Preferred
Information Systems auditing experience
Experience working with ICD 503 and/or DAAPAM
Experience with industry standard Information Assurance tools such as STIG Viewer, Nessus, and Splunk
Experience working with eMASS
Experience performing; security system hardening, analysis, vulnerability management, DISA STIGs
Prior Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) or System Administration experience
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience
