The Security Analyst will support GameStop’s global security program by reviewing and responding to alerts, addressing cases from a queue, and acting on threats to mitigate malicious activity.

Responsibilities

Monitor and respond to security incidents and events.
Create, manage, and tune alerting rules in multiple platforms.
Communicate with business users to investigate and resolve suspicious activities.
Participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation and incident response efforts.
Resolve basic issues related to area of expertise as they occur.
Complete training in security platforms and response processes.
Collaborate with team members across security, IT, and the business.

Qualification

Required

Bachelor’s degree or 1 year of hands-on experience in a related or technical field.
Strong analytical mindset.
Ability to work with diverse datasets and tools.
Understanding of common threat actor techniques.
Troubleshooting capabilities and the ability to quickly learn new technology.
Must work well on a highly collaborative team.
Communication skills and the ability to translate technical jargon into common language.

Preferred

Programming experience in Python.
Service desk / help desk experience.
System administration experience.
Penetration testing or red team experience.
Publicly available profiles demonstrating skills and participation in the wider security community (e.g. GitHub, HackTheBox).
