The Security Associate role involves overseeing alarm monitoring and security systems to ensure the safety and security of PNC locations nationwide, requiring strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Oversee activities across PNC’s regional alarm monitoring centers located in Pittsburgh, PA and Alabama
Vet, analyze, and mitigate a high volume alarms, covering both security incidents and system alerts
Conduct alarm programming, testing, and configuration to ensure proper operation
Investigate and resolve issues related to access control events and system notifications
Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, including door held open events, device failures, or alarm panel problems
Monitor, assess, and respond to alarms, access control alerts, and system notifications
Perform system configuration, programming, and troubleshooting for alarms and access control platforms
Maintain accurate documentation and support updates to SharePoint sites
Use data and metrics to support operational decisions and report insights through Excel and PowerPoint
Qualification
Required
Strong technical aptitude and comfort working with multiple software platforms simultaneously
Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft SharePoint, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and communicate insights clearly
Excellent problem solving skills with a focus on troubleshooting system issues
Ability to work in a fast paced environment managing high alarm volumes and multiple priorities
Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 2+ years of relevant professional experience. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered
Bachelors
Preferred
Experience with alarm systems, access control systems, or physical security technologies
Background in monitoring centers, security operations, or help desk/technical support
Familiarity with AMAG, Synetree, Securistat, Jira, or Triega
