The role involves monitoring cyber security alerts, driving incident response, and collaborating with various teams to enhance the organization's security posture.

Responsibilities

Monitor cyber security alerts to help determine prioritization and create event/incident cases.
Drive network security monitoring and incident response for a global enterprise network.
Collaborate with other ISRM teams to provide feedback on cyber security detection and alerting capabilities.
Perform malware analysis through open-source and vendor-provided tools
Help drive SOC process and procedure improvements and enhancements.
Collaborate with other teams within Thomson Reuters to help perform investigations.

Qualification

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or other related courses or equivalent work experience.
1+ years’ experience working in a SOC or on an incident response team
Experience performing security investigations across different platforms including OS, networks, cloud, messaging, etc.
Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary groups and stakeholders when managing or investigating security incidents.
Experience working with various security tools including SIEM, EDR, AV, forensics, firewalls, cloud, SOAR, etc.
High level knowledge of cybersecurity attack and defense techniques and frameworks.
Interest in continually learning and developing new cybersecurity skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred

Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA, GCIH, GIAC
Experience working with cloud cybersecurity tools
Experience with automation and scripting tools/techniques.
