The Systems Security Engineer I will support the Systems Security Engineering team by analyzing cybersecurity data, creating patch artifacts, performing regression testing, validating secure configurations, and maintaining Linux Bash and Python scripts for embedded weapons systems.
Perform analysis on cybersecurity collected data and test results
Create patch artifacts such as patch media and information assurance posture reports; run regression tests on the system
Validate secure configuration of routers, switches, firewalls, servers, operating systems, applications, and other assets, using DoD approved scanning and assessment tools such as Nessus, STIG, Evaluate STIG, and/or RADIX
Create and maintain Linux Bash and Python scripts
Qualification
Required
* Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years of prior experience
* The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred
* Experience with Linux Bash and Python scripting
* Basic understanding of the systems engineering process
* Cyber Certifications in accordance with DoDD 8570/DoDD 8140 such as CISSP, GSLC, CEH
* Knowledge/course work of radar, signal & image processing, digital communications, control theories, estimation theory and/or electro optics
* Active/Current DoD security clearance or SSBI
