Verizon is a broadband and telecommunications company that provides information and entertainment services. They are seeking a Vulnerability Management Analyst to manage the Vulnerability Management scanning platform, perform vulnerability assessments, and provide technical support for the platform's components while working closely with global functional organizations to coordinate remediation efforts.
Automating repetitive manual tasks and other ideas from team members.
Maintaining the infrastructure of the platform.
Continuously evaluating and improving the vulnerability identification program.
Supporting functional organizations with vulnerability assessments.
Coordinating with internal and vendor teams to support internal customers technical issues.
Driving enterprise visibility of vulnerabilities across all Verizon assets; ensures consistent management and reporting.
Evaluating reported "bugs"/vulnerabilities to ensure appropriate triage; this includes facilitating work efforts related to vulnerability scanning deployment and operations.
Driving awareness and escalations where applicable.
Supporting in creating reports, dashboards, metrics for EVM operations.
Qualification
Required
Bachelor’s degree or two or more years of work experience.
Two or more years of relevant work experience.
Experience in Vulnerability Management using Tenable or a similar tool.
Experience with one or more scripting languages.
Knowledge of security fundamentals and common vulnerabilities.
Experience in cybersecurity and/or Security Operations.
Preferred
Knowledge with common security frameworks (SOX, NIST, FISMA, etc.)
Comprehensive understanding of vulnerability management and information technologies associated security models - including server/OS, database, hardware, network devices, user compute, application/SDLC, cloud, etc
Working knowledge of Data Formats like YAML/XML/JSON
