Intertek is a world-leading laboratory seeking enthusiastic and ambitious Graduate Analysts to join their growing laboratories. The role involves hands-on training and support in analytical techniques while contributing to the preparation and analysis of samples in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries.
Preparing and analysing samples using a range of analytical techniques
Following validated laboratory methods and standard operating procedures
Recording, reviewing and reporting analytical data accurately
Supporting investigations and basic interpretation of scientific results under supervision
Maintaining laboratory equipment and ensuring a safe, organised working environment
Working in accordance with quality standards, health and safety procedures and company policies
Collaborating with colleagues to deliver high-quality results for clients
Continuously developing your technical knowledge through training and practical experience
Qualification
Required
A degree (BSc or MSc) in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, Biology or another relevant scientific discipline
A placement year, industrial internship or equivalent practical laboratory experience gained during your degree
Strong laboratory skills and an interest in analytical techniques
Good numerical and data interpretation skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A methodical approach with excellent attention to detail
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your workload effectively
A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new technical skills
IT literacy and confidence using Microsoft Office applications
Preferred
Experience of working within a regulated laboratory environment
Knowledge of GMP and laboratory safety procedures
