The Walt Disney Company is a major player in the entertainment industry, and they are seeking an Analyst for their Content Planning & Analysis team. This role will focus on evaluating content investments and performance across Disney's streaming platforms, contributing to financial decision-making and providing strategic insights.
Analyze content portfolio performance using R, SQL, and Excel, with a focus on portfolio health, performance benchmarks, and content economics to support strategic decision making
Maintain, update, and curate key content metadata datasets (e.g., attributes, categorization, rights information) to ensure completeness, accuracy, and usability across reporting and analytical systems
Develop and support content economics frameworks and financial models that inform content valuation and portfolio optimization, incorporating key revenue, cost, and margin dynamics
Produce portfolio-level reporting and insights that synthesize financial, engagement, and strategic metrics into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership
Qualification
Required
4-year degree in relevant fields (e.g., Statistics, Finance, Economics, Data Science, Business) with strong academic performance
1+ years of work experience preferably in finance/strategy roles at media/technology companies, or other quantitative fields (internship experience acceptable)
Proficiency in R, SQL, and Excel for data analysis, transformation, and modeling
Familiarity with intermediate statistical concepts and analysis techniques
High aptitude and enthusiasm for complex problem solving and financial modeling
Strong communication skills, including the ability to produce executive-ready presentations in PowerPoint
High EQ, professional maturity, and ability to engage with senior stakeholders
Motivated, disciplined, flexible, and able to work effectively in collaborative and autonomous environments
Demonstrated interest in the entertainment and/or tech industries
Preferred
Experience in media/entertainment or technology industries
Proven track record of automating recurring analytical or reporting processes
Experience with Python, Tableau, Databricks, or other data analytics tools is a plus
