Royal Caribbean Group is an exciting company offering unique career development opportunities. The Analyst, Guest Port Services is responsible for systems analysis and user support for the Guest Port Services Department, focusing on data manipulation and performance improvement.
Develop understanding of key data sources and systems for the company, with special emphasis on Guest Port Services systems.
Develop familiarity with various in-house databases and achieve competency in analyzing operating results contained within.
Access, extract, download, manipulate, and assist in analyses of data contained with internal databases.
Analyze results of data extractions and summarize and present analytical findings and assist in the development of operational action plans.
Maintain analytical and benchmarking tools in support of department projects.
Support and assist Guest Port Services and other departments in ad-hoc analytics and data manipulation efforts required for their projects.
Identify key opportunities for operating and systems performance improvements through information gathering and analysis creating analysis tools as needed.
Interact with various departments on system issues.
Maintain working knowledge of systems by attending seminars and other relevant training courses.
Assist Management in areas of analysis projects, Committee involvement in specific projects and training and/or development of staff.
Qualification
Required
BS/BA Business, Finance, Accounting or related field Graduate degree a plus.
2-4 years’ experience using financial applications.
Query experience and understanding of data structures and data files required.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures.
Ability to write reports, presentations, business correspondence, and procedures manuals.
Ability to interact effectively with others.
Ability to effectively present information to top management and public groups.
Advanced analytical skills should include mathematical modeling; broad exposure to operations research and methodologies such as queuing theory, simulation and statistics.
Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory and factor analysis.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Preferred
BI Reporting experience preferred.
Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Smartsheet, Oracle and MS Project strongly preferred.
