The Operations Analyst role aims to support the Global Maintenance, Continuous Improvement and Innovation function by providing proactive analysis to uncover improvement opportunities and resolve maintenance-related issues across various sites.
Analyze large data sets and make recommendations to uncover business processes and equipment improvement opportunities
Support the collection and Analysis of information for developing Corporate Maintenance Reports
Develop new capabilities through the design, creation, and streamlining of all Maintenance reporting and business tools
Assist in the development of reporting tools to assist with the analysis and understanding of equipment performance at site level
Assist in the development of Equipment Performance Asset Management Internal and External Benchmarking in order to drive the identification and implementation of related best practices globally
Support Asset Management and/or reliability improvement initiatives as needed by the business
Prepare analysis and deliver recommendations based on sound Asset Management principles
Prepare analysis for sites on implementation of new tools, technologies and systems related to Maintenance and be able to provide industry best practices recommendationsinitiate and drive improvements in tools, processes, and training materials
Deliver adhoc asset management reporting in a time sensitive and fast paced environment as required
Support specific site studies and improvement initiatives based on priorities defined by the maintenance global team
Act as implementation support for other global maintenance activities as required

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
Must have experience in and intuition for managing ambiguity and uncertainty in an operation's primary input(s)
Demonstrated experience in participating in the resolution of complex or technical and operational problems
Understanding of project management tools and techniques
Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented with strong analytical, planning and organizational skills
Experience with managing and synthesizing large amounts of data and appropriate tools to do so
Ability to measure success through data and metrics
Self-starter with the ability to work both in a team environment and independently
Proficient at working effectively on multiple projects
Desire to work on mine sites directly with heavy machinery
Mastery of English; written and spoken
Preferred
1-3 Years of experience performing data analysis for equipment and processes optimization is an asset
1-3 Years of experience in a natural resource industry, in an area that demonstrates experience in continuous improvements projects and/or the execution of turnarounds and/or strong exposure to innovation concepts and deployment is considered an asset
Experience in the use of data analysis tools like Matlab, Minitab, Maple, etc. an asset
Advanced knowledge of Power BI an asset
General knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, ORACLE, JDE, etc.) an asset
Proficiency in Arabic, French, Portuguese or Spanish an asset
