Responsibilities

  • Analyze JetBlue's operational performance and assess constraints that impact efficiency
  • Drive the development and adoption of capabilities, dashboards, and decision-support tools to enhance operational efficiency in the SOC and the broader JetBlue operation
  • Partner with and liaise between operating groups to align tactical execution and strategic objectives
  • Act as a key liaison between operational teams and data experts, applying a holistic view to develop and implement policies, strategies, processes, and technologies that address large-scale challenges while aligning with operational reliability and efficiency goals
  • Support strategic planning for JetBlue's operational reliability across multiple teams
  • Conduct reviews and analyses to support SOC, building a smarter and more resilient schedule
  • Support SOC Weekly Operations Reviews and continuous improvement efforts
  • Provide subject matter expertise in operational data, partnering with SOC, Enterprise Planning, IT Products, IT Data, and other stakeholders to ingest and develop insights and support data-driven decision-making from various data sources
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualification

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous related work experience
  • One (1) year of quantitative and analytical experience
  • Proficiency in database querying (e.g., SQL), high-level programming languages (such as Python or R), statistical modeling, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate technical issues assertively and tactfully
  • Excellent multitasking skills
  • Availability for occasional overnight travel (20%)
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. is required; this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

Preferred

  • One (1) year of work experience in aviation or a related field, with progressive responsibility in operational strategy or decision support
  • One (1) year of work experience at an airline in System Operations, Operations, Network, Enterprise Planning, or a related cross-functional role
  • Strong airline business acumen, including a deep understanding of airline operations, network planning, and strategic decision-making
  • Knowledge and/or experience with best practices across the airline industry
  • Master's degree in Aviation, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Knowledge of collaborative decision-making practices and airline operations
