JetBlue is a leading airline company, and they are seeking an Analyst for System Operations Strategy and Analytics. This role focuses on enhancing data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency within the System Operations Center, acting as a bridge between Operations and Planning teams.
Analyze JetBlue's operational performance and assess constraints that impact efficiency
Drive the development and adoption of capabilities, dashboards, and decision-support tools to enhance operational efficiency in the SOC and the broader JetBlue operation
Partner with and liaise between operating groups to align tactical execution and strategic objectives
Act as a key liaison between operational teams and data experts, applying a holistic view to develop and implement policies, strategies, processes, and technologies that address large-scale challenges while aligning with operational reliability and efficiency goals
Support strategic planning for JetBlue's operational reliability across multiple teams
Conduct reviews and analyses to support SOC, building a smarter and more resilient schedule
Support SOC Weekly Operations Reviews and continuous improvement efforts
Provide subject matter expertise in operational data, partnering with SOC, Enterprise Planning, IT Products, IT Data, and other stakeholders to ingest and develop insights and support data-driven decision-making from various data sources
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous related work experience
One (1) year of quantitative and analytical experience
Proficiency in database querying (e.g., SQL), high-level programming languages (such as Python or R), statistical modeling, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to communicate technical issues assertively and tactfully
Excellent multitasking skills
Availability for occasional overnight travel (20%)
Must pass a pre-employment drug test
Must be legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located
Authorization to work in the U.S. is required; this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred
One (1) year of work experience in aviation or a related field, with progressive responsibility in operational strategy or decision support
One (1) year of work experience at an airline in System Operations, Operations, Network, Enterprise Planning, or a related cross-functional role
Strong airline business acumen, including a deep understanding of airline operations, network planning, and strategic decision-making
Knowledge and/or experience with best practices across the airline industry
Master's degree in Aviation, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Knowledge of collaborative decision-making practices and airline operations
