AmTrust Financial Services, Inc. is a multinational property and casualty insurance company seeking a data-driven professional to support reporting and analytics initiatives. The role involves designing reports, collaborating with product teams, and contributing to continuous improvement through analytics projects.
Submissions Reporting: Design and build reports to track and manage front-end pricing and submission workflow
Third Party Data: Collaborate with product teams to create and optimize utilization of vendor data
Continuous Improvement: Learn to leverage more advanced analytics techniquires through adhoc projects and collaborative efforts
Provide Insight: Deliver actionable information to senior leadership through adhoc reports and projects while owning the full lifecycle of data from query to analysis to reporting
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree. Preference for Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, Business Statistics, Operational Research, or a related quantitative field
2+ years experience in R/Python including Basic automation and algorithm tasks, reading/writing to excel, API requests
Data wrangling in tidyverse and/or pandas
2+ years experience in SQL
Good understanding of basic statistical inference and computer science concepts
Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and apply new ideas
Comfortable with excel pivot tables & formulas
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred
Comfortable generating wide arange of visuals in either ggplot2 or matplotlib
Experience with PowerBI or Tableau
Experience with performing data analysis and generating reports/dashboards
Experience with any DevOps platform and agile methodology (Azure, etc.)
Familiarity with predictive modelling, ML & AI applications an advantage
Prior role at insurance carrier, brokerage, or other pricing/customer-centric analyst
