Associate Analyst - Overlay Evolution and Development

The Associate Analyst will review and implement test plans for ongoing projects while supporting the Overlay Portfolio Management Group, focusing on testing trading platforms and collaborating with various teams.

Responsibilities

  • Execute tests on new code deployments while documenting and following up on encountered defects
  • Participate in design reviews and provide input on requirements, product design, and potential problems
  • Collaborate closely with OPMG leadership and team members to better understand the product requirements or in case the design requires any kind of modifications
  • Interact with internal/external peers and management of other departments such as Technology, Product and QA
  • Analyze business processes and systems to identify areas for improvement and optimization
  • Work with QA to test and validate developed features against requirements and coordinate end-user validation
  • Conduct user acceptance testing and provide support during the software development lifecycle

Qualification

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience
  • 2+ years of experience working in the financial or technology industry and/or processing in a high-volume and deadline-driven environment
  • One Saturday a month availability for code deployments
  • MS- Excel- Proficient
  • Knowledge of advisory managed accounts
  • Possess aptitude for prioritizing, multitasking, and thriving in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Great organizational skills and a detail-oriented mindset
  • Desire to learn and grow as well as help others learn and grow
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team and as an individual
  • Some experience in portfolio management and securities trading operations
  • Experience in Quality Assurance and Control, QA/QC Testing, and Operational improvement and control
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
