DTE Energy is a diversified energy company serving electric and gas customers and supporting renewable energy and energy services. The Associate Gas Measurement Specialist monitors gas measurement systems, investigates data discrepancies, prepares volumetric reports, supports measurement accuracy, and contributes to process improvements and lost-and-unaccounted-for gas efforts.
Performs daily review of gas measurement data for reasonableness and timeliness using the Gas Measurement system
Escalates issues to field operations or leadership for assistance in remediating data discrepancies
Prepares and distributes monthly and daily volumetric reports to internal and external customers
Performs measurement data edits and estimates utilizing established procedures
Evaluates the usage of commercial and industrial volume correction instruments to ensure accurate measurement
Participates in cross-functional teams to develop new or enhance existing processes
Maintains collaboration with billing and field operations to meet team objectives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Computer Science
Individuals who will be obtaining their degree within nine months from submitting interest will be considered; however, verification of the degree will be required prior to starting in the job
Experience in Excel and database systems
Proficient verbal, written, and presentation skills; communicates clearly, with credibility and confidence
Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven abilities to defend and justify recommendations
Flexibility and the ability to work with shifting priorities as well as embrace new and evolving responsibilities
Preferred
Experience using Python, Power BI, and artificial intelligence (AI) tools and technologies are preferred

This role is hybrid, with an established schedule of in-person work required at an assigned work location. Any remote work is expected to be performed from an employee’s primary residence, unless allowed (or prohibited) through the Company’s remote work guidelines.
