The Bioinformatics Analyst I position supports the myChoice CDx and related products, assisting in the evaluation of NGS data and contributing to the development of new myChoice products.
Provide bioinformatics support to R&D team by evaluating and reporting NGS data/results
Provide quality control evaluations of various NGS data sets across multiple applications
Troubleshoot and escalate problematic issues, which may arise during analysis
Assist Bioinformaticist / Data Scientist in the analysis of larger scale projects
Develop documentation of analyses conducted and/or analysis plans and specifications, as appropriate
Qualification
Required
General knowledge of molecular biology laboratory techniques, with previous biology lab experience is a plus
Strong quantitative skills, including proficiency in R, Python, or Perl; experience working with relational database and standard Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Basic understanding of Unix/Linux environment and standard bioinformatics tools such as bash, sed, or awk
Good organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
a bachelor's degree in related field (biology, computer-science, statistics, or equivalent)
Preferred
A master's degree in a related field is preferred
