DreamWorks Animation SKG, Inc. is a leading company in the media and entertainment industry, and they are seeking a Data Analyst to join their Studio Distribution team. The role involves gathering and visualizing data to assist with strategic decision-making and improving business processes.
Requirement gathering from both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Find, consolidate and clean data from disparate sources
Create visualizations to describe data and tell a story
Present findings and/or explain data analysis to stakeholders
Provide recommendations for strategic business decisions
Serve as a subject matter expert for acquiring data from source systems
Create and manage internal project documentation and process diagrams
All other duties as assigned.
Qualification
Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Statistics, Economics or another relevant field, or equivalent professional experience
At least 2+ years of experience developing analytics solutions for business problems
Experience writing/reading complex SQL
Experience using Python for gathering, cleaning and analyzing data (pandas, API calls, etc…)
Experience using BI tools for data visualization, Tableau experience preferred
Experience working with business partners and stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications and build data products from them
Proven ability to ask appropriate and relevant questions to further business objectives
Comfortable presenting to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Comfortable presenting in front of a large audience and executive leadership
Ability to build and present visually appealing PowerPoint presentations
Preferred
Experience with change management and/or consulting
Experience/interest in Content Distribution and Supply Chain
Experience in the global media & entertainment industry.
