The Data Governance Analyst is responsible for implementing data governance and quality programs, ensuring compliance with policies, and driving data quality initiatives throughout the project lifecycle.
Create and maintain a culture of Data Governance by partnering with functional data owners to promote best practices, standards, principles, and policies.
Facilitate and promote the usage and adoption of data governance tools, processes, and procedures among functional business users.
Monitor data quality metrics to understand the health of data and impacts on business results.
Lead the resolution of data quality issues discovered by data quality reporting.
Develop and deploy active/passive data governance initiatives to identify and resolve data inaccuracies, inconsistencies, or redundancies.
Engage in the evaluation of all system improvements and emerging technologies pertinent to data governance tools or those that influence master data.
Conduct testing and user acceptance of new system functionality.
Experience with data mapping rules/transformation logic: Particularly for acquisitions and integrations.
Qualification
Required
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older
Must pass pre-employment assessment(s) if applicable
Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline. Generally 2-5 years of experience in related field; certification is required in some areas OR MS/MA and generally 2-4 years of experience in related field. Certification is required in some areas.

Analytical problem-solving skills: Ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets and translate them into actionable strategies.
Proactive mindset: Proficiency in identifying and addressing potential issues before they escalate. This involves early intervention, risk mitigation, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Strong communication skills: Ability to effectively communicate complex data issues to non-technical stakeholders.
Technical skills: Experience with shared data and database languages such as SQL, and familiarity with specific programming languages.
MS/MA and 2-4 years of experience in a related field; or 3-5 years of experience in a related field.
Experience with the MDM tool Enterworks/Precisely and the ERP D365 is a plus.
