Worldpay provides electronic payment and banking services, and they are seeking a Data Governance Analyst to support their Responsible Use initiative. The role focuses on establishing a robust data risk framework, ensuring compliance with regulations, and contributing to strategic data governance projects across the organization.
Contribute to the planning and execution of the strategic goals of the Responsible Data & AI Use team.
Implement and mature processes and procedures within the global enterprise Responsible Data & AI Use function
Provide guidance and compliance leadership for lines of business regarding appropriate data usage, distribution, and storage in accordance with company policies and standards.
Cultivate and embed a strong responsible data and AI use culture across the company.
Partnering with Second Line Risk Management stakeholders to govern the enterprise data risk management framework and related policies and processes
Assisting with writing and promoting adoption of data risk and responsible use policies, standards, and guidelines
Creates and delivers training to other business areas to increase compliance awareness.
Maintains knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
Offers guidance on implementing regulatory changes.
Interfaces with legal counsel and federal, state, and local agencies, as needed to address regulatory or compliance issues, concerns or questions.
Assists the business with responses to customer compliance-specific questions and concerns.
Partner with Legal to deliver a contract metadata governance capability.
Document data governance workflows, playbooks, standards, guidelines, taxonomies, operating procedures, and corporate data policies.
Create and own business and functional requirements documents, logical solution designs, and implementation plans
Demonstrate proactive thought-leadership by actively keeping up to date on industry trends and developments by making recommendations for areas of opportunity and improvement.
Assist with preparing strategic Executive-level presentations and associated documentation.
Ensure that Responsible Use processes are both effective and compliant with established standards via meaningful KPIs and metrics.
Drive data governance adoption through stakeholder consultation and trainings (i.e. RegU, Lunch and Learns, playbooks)
Works with cross-discipline teams to understand privacy, legal, and ethical considerations in the use of AI/machine learning and analytics.
Performs analysis and program support for areas such as data governance, policy and other programs as well as other consulting projects throughout various risk disciplines while identifying potential issues, control gaps and potential process efficiencies.
Documents risk analysis and controls and evaluates control design and continuous control improvement.
Participates in projects designed to mitigate risks including generating action plans for issues/gaps.
Ensure effective and complete data and AI use review processes and documentation by documenting insights, database updating and facilitating process enhancements
Develop and maintain scorecards and dashboards to monitor and report on governance and data quality metrics.
Actively support compliance initiatives, including adherence to enterprise data, security and privacy policies.
Serve as a subject matter expert, advocating for data governance and management practices across Worldpay.
Experience with federal laws and regulations governing data protection, quality, and privacy (eg., GLBA, FCRA, HIPAA, etc.)
Hands-on experience with data governance tools such as, Alation and Informatica.
Working knowledge of financial and securities industry regulations and guidelines, including SEC and FINRA.
2+ years of professional experience with data governance tools, like Alation and Informatica (EDC, AXON and IDQ).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain concepts and technologies to business leaders, and business concepts to the technical teams.
Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and reporting, with a solid understanding of database structure.
Experience with data governance frameworks and best practice, including metadata management and compliance.
A collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally with business and technical teams.
Ability to understand technical documents and legal or regulatory reference materials.
Ability to follow and conduct a compliance monitoring program.
Experience with AI development and governance.
