CACI International Inc is seeking a Data Scientist to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division and improve maintenance detection for Boeing F/A-18 aircraft. The role focuses on preparing aircraft data, conducting exploratory analysis, developing anomaly detection and machine learning models, and collaborating with engineering and maintenance stakeholders to improve fleet readiness.
Gather, clean, and preprocess large datasets from various aircraft sensors, maintenance logs, and operational data
Write clean, efficient, and scalable code following best practices and coding standards to ensure maintainability and long-term performance of applications
Preform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in aircraft performance and maintenance data
Design and implement anomaly detection algorithms to identify unusual behaviors in aircraft data
Develop machine learning models to detect component failures or malfunctions
Collaborate with Aerospace Engineers, Software Engineers, Maintenance Personnel, and other project stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Computer Science
0-3 years of job experience
Strong knowledge of MATLAB and Python
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Candidate must be a US Citizen, and able to obtain a DoD Secret Clerance
Preferred
Active DoD Secret Clerance
CompTIA Security + Certification
Experience with PowerBI and SQL
