CBRE is a leading company in Commercial Real Estate, seeking a Data Scientist to join their Data Science Center of Excellence in Richardson, Texas. The role involves creating data-driven products and productionizing machine learning models while collaborating with data and software engineers to generate business insights.
Being an Analytics-focused role, this job mandates clear understanding of frameworks/tools to create reproducible and valid insights while slicing and dicing the data for various needs across business lines
Wrapping data insights into narratives and visualizations are great-to-haves Must have anywhere between 2-4 years of impactful experience in creating Data-driven products and productionizing ML models, while being mindful of Data pipelines
Must have an intuitive understanding of algorithms underpinning various statistical and machine learning models from regression, classification, clustering to optimization and decision theory
Proven functional experience in generating quick and sturdy business insights using standard tools and frameworks, potentially across various tech stacks including Open Source
Work closely with Data and Software Engineers to provide robust and dependable Business Intelligence Visual thinking of outputs, as Tableau/ Power BI/ Streamlit, etc dashboards
Crispness in communicating the outputs is necessary
Strong coding skills in R and Python; and scripting in SQL and MS Excel
Any other relevant programming language skills like Java, Scala, Julia, etc would be gladly welcomed
Qualification
Required
Must have anywhere between 2-4 years of impactful experience in creating Data-driven products and productionizing ML models, while being mindful of Data pipelines
Bachelors or Masters in disciplines such as Mathematics (Pure/ Applied), Statistics, Computer Science/ Engineering, Information Systems or any other Scientific discipline is ideal. But other quantitative fields of study are also considered
Must have an intuitive understanding of algorithms underpinning various statistical and machine learning models from regression, classification, clustering to optimization and decision theory
Proven functional experience in generating quick and sturdy business insights using standard tools and frameworks, potentially across various tech stacks including Open Source
