Collins Aerospace is a leader in technologically advanced solutions for the aerospace and defense industry, and they are seeking a Data Analyst to support their Power & Controls organization. The role involves managing and reporting reliability data on aerospace components, coordinating data flow from MROs, and ensuring data quality through statistical analysis.
Review the formatting of the data to make sure it aligns with reliability data requirements
Track repair data quality and completeness using statistical analysis
Understand context of technical data and how to appropriately normalize data into business metrics
Coordinate with overall team for any data needs
Support team with any ad-hoc data related tasks
Lead initiatives to increase reliability data confidence and quality
Qualification
Required
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
Experience managing large data sets in multiple formats ie: Excel, CSV, XML, etc
Communication and presentation skills in English (verbal and written)
Preferred
Industrial Engineering degree
Customer facing aerospace industry experience and working knowledge of aerospace product reliability data and calculations
Experience with lean principles (Six Sigma, CORE, ACE) and implementation of process controls for delivery and quality
Experience navigating competing priorities, achieving the highest level of engagement, and delivering successful outcomes in critical situations
Experience in Agile methodologies
Knowledge in visualization tools
Knowledge of Databases and SQL
