Dollar Tree is focused on providing value and convenience to its customers. The GIS Analyst is responsible for assisting with data authoring, spatial analytics, and implementing GIS functionality to support business needs, ensuring accurate spatial information is leveraged for decision-making.
Maintain GIS content to ensure datasets and spatial tools are current, accurate, and relevant
Edit, analyze, perform quality control, and create/maintain metadata on existing GIS datasets
Use geoprocessing tools, geocoding services, and spatial overlays to create, edit, and enrich both spatial and non-spatial datasets
Research and implement opportunities to improve decision-making with enhanced GIS data quality
Interact with enterprise data systems using Python, SQL Server Management Studio, ArcPro, and Alteryx to update GIS datasets and run spatial analyses
Create and maintain web mapping applications to meet business needs across the organization
Create, publish, and optimize map services through ArcGIS Server
Configure web mapping applications, dashboards, and reports leveraging ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Dashboards, Power BI, and VertiGIS Studio
Develop new GIS web tools and functionality with VertiGIS Studio Workflow
Troubleshoot performance and connectivity issues using debugging software and work closely with the Information Technology Department and vendor technical support teams
Create and update documentation on GIS maintenance, dashboards, and monitoring processes resulting in SOPs
Support GIS users, including senior management, through training, technical support, and spatial analysis
Prepare ad hoc analyses and mapping requests for users across the organization
Qualification
Required
Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
2+ years of experience in GIS including user support, data editing, map production, spatial analytics, dashboarding, and reporting
Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise including Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Business Analyst
Experience with Microsoft Power BI, ArcGIS for Power BI, and ArcGIS Dashboards
Familiarity with Esri ModelBuilder, Python, and ArcPy
Highly proficient with GIS database editing, QA/QC processes, and geoprocessing tools
Experience with Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or other relational database systems
Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to effectively manage large amounts of data
High level of initiative, willingness to assume responsibility, and ability to multi-task while meeting multiple deadlines
Attention to detail is required
Preferred
Experience with ArcGIS Experience Builder, ArcGIS Monitor, ArcGIS GeoEnrichment Server, and ArcGIS GeoEvent Server
Experience with the VertiGIS suite of products including VertiGIS Studio Web, VertiGIS Studio Workflow, VertiGIS Studio Printing, VertiGIS Studio Reporting, VertiGIS Studio Access Control, and VertiGIS Studio Analytics
Familiarity with Alteryx Designer and Alteryx Server
Knowledge of retail industry
Certified Geographic Information System Professional (GISP) or Esri Certification
