National Grid is a leading energy company that offers a Graduate Development Program designed for recent college graduates aspiring for leadership roles. As an Associate IT Business Partner, you will support essential systems, enhance user experience, and improve data accuracy through collaboration and troubleshooting.
Work with business leaders, subject matter experts, customers, and team members to identify enhancements that improve user experience and data accuracy.
Share insights with business users about how potential process changes could impact Gridforce functionality and vice versa.
Be the front-line support for user issues, figuring out if problems are due to defects, user errors, or process gaps.
Submit bugs and user stories in JIRA to the ConnectNow Product Owner(s) for prioritization, ensuring issues are addressed promptly.
Coordinate with subject matter experts to complete User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for user stories and defects that affect the team.
Create and present training materials to help users navigate Gridforce/ConnectNow effectively.
Assist team members with ad hoc process improvement, automation, and IT enhancement projects as needed.
Qualification
Required
Bachelor or Masters degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited institution
Graduated between May 2025 and June 2026
Ability to begin the National Grid Graduate Program on June 8, 2026, or July 13, 2026
Valid driver’s license required with a safe driving history that meets National Grid’s Safe Driver policy
Work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States (such as sponsorship for an H-1B, TN, O, L, STEM OPT, or other employment-based work authorization)
Preferred
Previous experience with IT user support, process improvement, customer service experience, user experience (UX) design, Salesforce, or JIRA
Enthusiasm for sustainability, renewable energy, energy efficiency, and/or other clean energy technologies
