Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Analyze system data, processes, and integrations across platforms.
  • Develop and configure applications within GIS, Maximo, and Salesforce in the Gas Domain.
  • Write, test, and maintain code/scripts (e.g., Python, Java, SQL, JavaScript) while supporting integration between enterprise platforms and external systems.
  • Assist in troubleshooting issues and implementing system improvements.
  • Work alongside senior engineers to optimize performance, security, and reliability.
  • Share your ideas for improving workflows, automating processes, and enhancing user experiences.

Qualification

Required

  • Bachelors or Master's degree from an accredited institution preferably in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Strong coding and scripting skills in Python, Java, SQL, or equivalent.
  • Graduated between May 2025 and June 2026
  • Ability to begin the National Grid Graduate Program on June 8, 2026, or July 13, 2026
  • Valid driver’s license required with a safe driving history that meets National Grid’s Safe Driver policy
  • Work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States (such as sponsorship for an H-1B, TN, O, L, STEM OPT, or other employment-based work authorization)

Preferred

  • Exposure to web development or API integration.
  • Familiarity with enterprise platforms (GIS, Maximo, Salesforce, or similar) is a plus!
