Cboe Global Markets is a leading provider of market infrastructure and tradable products, seeking an Index Quantitative Analyst for their Cboe Global Indices team. The role involves researching, designing, and implementing new index strategies, including backtesting and developing methodologies for new index products.

Responsibilities

  • Backtesting and methodology creation to support new index strategies
  • Research, create and support the index development initiatives for Cboe Global Indices with a focus on equities and options
  • Help build and standardize modular index calculation frameworks in Python, enabling efficient development and maintenance of new and existing indices
  • Evaluate new data sets for usage in index calculation, looking at data quality, completeness, and fit for index purposes
  • Participate in client meetings to develop new index concepts, providing direction and analysis to convert client ideas into viable index methodologies
  • Work collaboratively with other Cboe departments on new index launches, as well as post-launch support

Qualification

Required

  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field required
  • Strong quantitative and programming skills; experience in Python, R and SQL with preference to Python
  • Experience with written documentation of projects
  • Experience using Git or other version control software
  • Familiarity with options pricing, volatility surfaces, or derivatives markets
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects independently and collaboratively
  • Exposure to writing APIs to access various databases
  • Exposure to index construction, factor investing, or systematic strategy research
