The Maritime Data Analyst role provides analytical and project management support to the Maritime Operations department, impacting the Health, Environmental, Safety and Security performance through data analysis and reporting.
Supports the production of periodic reports to facilitate communication of business performance to internal stakeholders and external bodies including monthly/quarterly HESS performance, management incentive program (MIP) data and sustainability reporting.
Quality assurance of Corporate HESS data, including inclusion/retention of aggregated data to facilitate downstream reporting.
Supports process improvement initiatives on existing reporting efforts by leveraging tools including but not limited to PowerBI, SharePoint, and Teams.
Supports the production of incident data analytics (including root cause analysis) to identify trends and provide insight leading to policy, procedural and/or operational changes.
Supports regular / ad-hoc analyses of HESS performance indicators to illustrate relative performance and opportunities for improvement.
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in any technical /scientific / mathematical subject.
1-3 years’ experience in data management / reporting / analytics (Relevant experience in a maritime operations environment may be considered in lieu of Bachelor’s Degree).
Excellent computer skills. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint.
Preferred
Experience in PowerBI or similar software
