Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain analytical frameworks, and data models to support Pricing, FP&A, Portfolio Management and Structured Products
  • Analyze and process loan level data sets locally and within cloud based (AWS/Azure) platforms
  • Perform data exploration and analysis on structured and unstructured data sets
  • Develop and maintain return frameworks and deliverables
  • Apply skill sets in the valuation and analysis and modeling of mortgage related assets and securities
  • Create efficient and readable code sets to support model execution and processes
  • Collaborate with team members on the development and maintenance of distributed code frameworks within AWS and Azure platforms
  • Continuously evaluate new and existing models and methods for improvements
  • Maintain accurate version control and documentation
  • Complete monitoring, stress testing and validation of models across the organization
  • Create and present clear and concise analytical presentations to senior management
  • Development and maintenance of cloud-based frameworks to support ongoing and new efforts
  • Monitoring and validation of models within QA and external groups
  • Version control and documentation
  • Perform other duties as assigned or apparent

Qualification

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience
  • 2 or more years of prior work-related experience
  • Bachelor's Degree - Risk Management, Finance, Computer Science or Mathematics (Risk Management, Statistics and/or Mathematics preferred)
  • High proficiency in the development and maintenance of analysis and modeling
  • Background in financial concepts and metrics (Discounted Cash Flow Methods, Returns, Financial Analysis)
  • Knowledge of mortgage and insurance related concepts
  • 2-3 years of experience within an analytical group
  • Experience in data analysis using scripting languages (Python, SQL, or R)
  • Experience analyzing mortgages or mortgage related assets
  • High level of motivation and intellectual curiosity
  • Ability to research and create new analysis and methods
  • Strong work ethic and independent problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively and present results
