First Citizens Bank is seeking a Software Engineer II to join their Enterprise Payments organization. This remote role involves providing advanced technical support to data processing systems, enhancing processing capabilities through analysis, coding, testing, and business support.
Data Analysis - Sources, compiles, and interprets data. Performs analysis for accuracy and efficiencies, effectively communicates analysis output.
System Testing - Thoroughly tests systems to ensure proper installation of new software, system changes, and overall efficiency. Evaluates and conveys testing results. Performs coding and assists in implementing system modifications and enhancements.
Business Support - Provides technical support by performing coding, ensuring processes run smoothly, and working to continuously improve processing capabilities. Works closely with business units and operation teams to support their business objectives.
Technical Proficiency - Utilizes knowledge to develop or install appropriate computer software. Serves as a resource on data processing systems and procedures.
On-call Support - Provides 24/7 on-call support via rotation.
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience in Application software programming OR High School Diploma or GED and 6 years of experience in Application software programming
Current or former experience as a contractor or contingent worker for First Citizens Bank and/or any of its subsidiaries
Preferred
Preferred Area of Study: Computer Science
Preferred Area of Experience: MS.NET; ASP.NET; SQL Scripting; Powershell Scripting
Experience with programming languages such as Microsoft .NET (C#); ASP.NET Core; JavaScript; HTML 5; XML; SQL Scripting and Powershell Scripting
Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) or similar code repository system
Experience with ServiceNow or other information technology service ticketing systems
Knowledge of System Life Cycle Development methodology (like Waterfall and Agile)
