Royal Caribbean Group is a leader in the vacation industry, offering unique career opportunities. The Analyst, Predictive Analytics will support the Revenue Management team by assisting in forecasting, modeling, analysis, and reporting to enhance decision-making processes.
Assist in developing, implementing and maintaining revenue management systems, Business Intelligence reporting and user tools. Update current statistical and modeling techniques in PL/SQL and SAS for changing business patterns and to reduce error. Successfully apply quantitative methods and techniques, including forecasting, linear regressions, mixed integer programming, optimization and statistical analyses.
Develop new reporting and models for department. Work closely with the Revenue Management teams to understand their business, challenges and objectives. Think creatively to deliver solutions that meet the business needs, given the available data and systems.
Learn to determine user requirements, develop own suggestions to meet Revenue reporting needs, develop the tool or report and work with teams to ensure it meets their needs, providing relevant, actionable revenue management-related information in the most effective format and medium.
Respond to ad-hoc data and analysis needs while supporting various projects. Learn the DB2 and Data Warehouse systems in order to pull various data sets required for ad hoc analyses. Conduct statistical analyses of business data, evaluate trends and pattern changes, and learn to disperse results in a format appropriate for the audience.
Clearly explain tools and results to teams and management. Develop and conduct clear, concise presentations, communicating technical methods and impacts in business terms.
Continuously search for potential business improvements, revenue opportunity and efficiency gains.

Support reporting, systems and modeling of current and expected revenue to support daily and strategic revenue decisions and analyses. These tools are critical to the day-to-day decisions made by analysts, impacting the company’s annual net ticket revenue stream of over $4 Billion.
Qualification
Required
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university required (in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering or Statistics helpful).
Strong quantitative, analytical skills and knowledge of applied statistics.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement applications using a programming language, especially PL/SQL or SAS.
Ability to handle dynamic workload, balancing short and long term projects.
Ability to interpret analytical results into meaningful business terms and translate business needs to programming and data modeling.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to business and technical audiences in both spoken and written formats.
Must possess strong reality check reflex and problem solving skills.
Preferred
Master’s degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, or Statistics preferred.
Two or more years of work experience in related field preferred.
Experience in supporting and interpreting reporting using Access or Business Intelligence tools (Hyperion Experience a plus).
Experience in forecasting, optimization or data modeling.
