Newmont Corporation is the world’s leading gold company and a producer of various metals. The Analyst, Technical will support digital initiatives and decision-making across Fixed Plant Asset Management by transforming complex datasets into insights and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Partner with Asset Management teams to understand business requirements and data needs to deliver tailored solutions as part of Digital Enablement and AI-ML
Support continuous improvement and collaborate with cross-functional technical teams
Support development of solutions that address business challenges and optimize processes
Gather, clean, and prepare data from multiple sources to ensure quality and readiness
Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and operational insights
Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations that clearly communicate findings and guide strategic decision-making
Stay current on emerging data-science technologies and incorporate new techniques in solutions
Contribute to data governance, data integrity, and best-practice data management
Qualification
Required
Degree in Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field
Strong collaboration and communication skills across technical and non-technical groups
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI, Databricks)
Familiarity with data lakes, databases, cloud platforms, and big-data tools
Ability to translate complex data into clear, practical business insights
Understanding of change-management concepts and continuous-improvement methodologies
Curiosity, problem-solving mindset, and commitment to continuous learning
Preferred
Mining or natural resource experience is strongly preferred with an understanding of Fixed Plant Asset Management concepts, principles and datasets
