The Associate Data Governance Business Analyst supports client engagements involving data governance, master data management, data quality, data privacy, and responsible AI by analyzing information, developing deliverables, conducting research, and collaborating with business and technology stakeholders.
Support the delivery of client engagements related to data governance, data quality, master data management (MDM), and data privacy frameworks
Assist in gathering, organizing, and analyzing client data and process information to identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities
Support MDM-related activities such as data standardization, deduplication, hierarchy management, and stewardship process design
Contribute to the creation of client deliverables, including reports, presentations, process maps, data models, and governance documentation
Participate in client workshops and interviews, capturing requirements and synthesizing findings under the guidance of senior team members
Conduct research on industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging practices in data trust, master data management, and responsible AI
Support project management activities such as tracking action items, timelines, and deliverable status
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (technology, risk, compliance, and business stakeholders) to ensure alignment on project objectives
Continuously build technical and functional knowledge of data trust tools, frameworks, and methodologies
Take ownership of assigned tasks, seeking feedback proactively and applying it to improve future work
Qualification
Required
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; comfortable breaking down complex problems into structured components
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources into clear, concise deliverables
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality in all work products
Basic understanding of responsible AI principles (fairness, transparency, accountability) and how trustworthy data underpins trustworthy AI
Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs and apply sound professional judgment rather than accepting results at face value
Prior internship, co-op, or project experience in consulting, technology, or data-related roles
Proactive approach to learning new tools, frameworks, and industry knowledge with minimal supervision
Comfort operating in ambiguity and adapting quickly as project needs evolve
Track record of seeking feedback and using it to grow (academic, internship, or work experience)
Growth mindset — willingness to take on stretch assignments and expand scope of responsibility over time
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Public Policy, or related discipline)
Preferred
MDM platforms (e.g., Informatica MDM, Reltio, STIBO, Ataccama) or data visualization/analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python)
