Exact Sciences is the developer and manufacturer of Cologuard, a non-invasive screening test for the early detection of colorectal cancer. They are seeking a forward-thinking and motivated Associate Data Scientist to leverage AI and machine learning in healthcare decision-making. The role involves designing, developing, and deploying AI-driven models to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
Apply machine learning, deep learning, and artificial intelligence techniques to uncover patient behavioral insights, improve healthcare delivery, and drive financial sustainability.
Analyze patient and healthcare datasets to identify trends, optimize interventions, and align services with evolving patient needs.
Use advanced analytics methods to extract value from business data.
Visualize information and develop reports on results of data analysis.
Influence product teams through presentation of data-based recommendations.
Ability to communicate complex results to technical and non-technical audiences.
Willingness and ability to learn new technologies on the job.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Desire to work in a highly collaborative environment.
Ability to lift up to 10 pounds for approximately 5% of a typical working day.

Qualification
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field; or High School Degree/General Education Diploma and 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of Bachelor’s degree; or Associate Degree and 2 years of relevant experience.
2+ years of experience working with large datasets for drawing business insights.
2+ years of experience working with SQL in an analytics capacity.
Demonstrated working knowledge in Python or R.
Professional working knowledge of machine learning.
Professional working knowledge of statistics and modeling techniques.
Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred
Master’s degree in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or related field of study.
Professional working knowledge with Natural Language Processing, Information Retrieval, or Recommender Systems.
Professional working knowledge with distributed computing and big data technologies such as Spark or related technologies.
Experience in cloud environments.
