Extra Space Storage is seeking an Associate Data Scientist at their corporate offices in Salt Lake City, Utah. This role involves evaluating and optimizing digital product strategies to enhance customer experience through data analysis and collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Perform data analysis, interpret findings, and explain them to a business audience
Develop data pipelines to ensure data collection from various sources for analysis, reporting, and model building
Design and execute tests to optimize digital product strategies
Develop road maps for data science products with guidance from senior members of the team and communicate the road map to relevant partners
Document analytics systems and assigned data science projects including business objectives, data collection and analysis process, evaluated models and techniques, insights, and key metrics
Qualification
Required
An undergrad degree in mathematics, operations research, statistics, finance, economics, or other STEM degrees
1-2 years of experience in applying analytics to drive business outcomes is a plus
Proven analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
Ability to manage large data sets, synthesize and communicate findings
Coding proficiency in SQL and Python
Team player with excellent collaboration skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Highly motivated and high level of energy and enthusiasm
Preferred
Experience with Databricks, Microsoft Azure, or other similar cloud environments is a plus
