Responsibilities

Conducts ad-hoc analysis of market data and compare to model simulation. Presents the results to help capture market trend and commodity risk
Maintains and improves crucial pricing tools in pricing platform of the company including troubleshooting and adding new features due to rule change in the market
Does research on new mathematical or machine learning models; writes code to prototype and productionize new models

Qualification

Required

Bachelors degree in Engineering, Math, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or related field
2+ years experience in quantitative or financial valuation role
A strong foundation in probability theory, optimization and financial math plus familiarity with mathematical techniques used for decision making under uncertainty such as stochastic dynamic programming. Machine learning is a plus
Strong programming skills preferably in Python or Matlab
The ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including verbal and written

Preferred

Masters degree in a quantitative field
Prior experience in a quantitative or financial valuation role
Energy industry experience
