Responsibilities

  • Upfront support of Medical Device clinical trials and research, supporting statistical aspects of study design by assisting with sample size calculation via power analysis and study design, and ensuring the protocol and variables collected support the endpoint analysis
  • Execute statistical analyses including, but not limited to, established methods such as confidence interval testing, regression models, Bayesian methods, missing data handling, mixed models
  • Create reproducible code, summary tables, visualizations, and written statistical outputs that support study reports, technical documents, and defend results to regulatory agencies
  • Prepare analysis datasets by performing data cleaning, validation, formatting, and code reviews
  • Document statistical approaches and analytical workflows to promote transparency and reproducibility to be documented in the Clinical History File
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional partners including Clinical Operations, Quality and Regulatory, engineering, and data management teams to support project execution

Qualification

Required

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in a field requiring advanced statistical training and experience
  • Experience applying statistical methods to real datasets (via research projects, internships, industry, or academic roles)
  • Familiarity and/or proficiency with SAS, R, SPSS, or other statistical and business intelligence tools for data analysis, visualization, and core statistical modeling
  • Understanding of key statistical concepts including hypothesis testing, regression, ANOVA, and multivariate techniques
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for summarizing statistical findings. Ability to communicate statistical findings for individuals who are less familiar with statistical findings
  • Willingness to learn new analytical approaches, tools, and domain‑specific knowledge

Preferred

  • Experience performing data cleaning, quality checks, or structuring datasets for analysis
  • Experience communicating quantitative concepts through tutoring, teaching assistance, workshops, or team collaboration
  • Experience applying statistical tools to healthcare and clinical data
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new scientific or technical domains, with a strong desire to learn industry‑specific requirements and best practices
  • Strong organization and attention to detail in coding, documentation, and data workflows
  • Ability to work effectively within multi‑disciplinary team
