The Commercial Banking Data Governance Analyst is responsible for executing data governance frameworks and ensuring the integrity of data for decision-making across the bank.
Promotes and facilitates the adoption of data governance practices within the Commercial Bank
Works with business and technology resources to educate and communicate standardized processes in support of the Data Governance Framework and ensures clear accountability for stewardship of information assets
Assists Commercial Bank lines of business with deployment and maintenance of data governance policies and procedures within their respective areas
Ensures steps are taken by the lines of business to comply with enterprise data governance policies, standards, processes and procedures
Maintains records regarding onboarding, training, and implementation of the Data Governance Program for the Commercial Bank
Serves as a liaison between business and functional areas and technology to ensure that data-related business requirements for data handling are clearly defined, communicated, well understood, and considered as part of operational prioritization and planning
Serves as a point of contact for interactions with the lines of business, Information Technology and Data Governance initiatives to achieve regulatory and corporate compliance
Supports the data steward community in fulfilling data governance initiatives
Coordinates the development and maintenance of enterprise information maps, including authoritative systems and owners
Participates in planning sessions for projects initiated for meeting strategic goals pertaining to Data Governance
Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in the performance of essential job functions
Maintains good punctuality and attendance to work
Follows Bank policy, procedures and guidelines
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration or information management, or commensurate work experience, required
Minimum of one (1) year of work experience on data report development, data analysis and/or data management, preferably within a financial organization, required
Knowledge of industry-leading data governance, data quality, data protection, and/or data management practices
Knowledge of data-related government regulatory requirements and emerging trends and issues
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Ability to interact and communicate with various internal and external stakeholders
Ability to demonstrate effective leadership and organizational awareness skills
Ability to demonstrate effective consulting skills, with change management concepts, including communication and culture change
Ability to demonstrate effective analytical, critical thinking, detail-oriented and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management
