Essex Property Trust is a purpose-driven company focused on enhancing asset value through strategic initiatives. The Asset Strategy and Analytics Analyst will support the Asset Management team in financial reporting, data analysis, and creating visualizations to drive capital allocation decisions.

Responsibilities

Support the Asset Management team with property and portfolio level reporting and forecasting.
Assistance in the creation, drafting, and presentation of executive material on a regular and ad-hoc basis.
Collaborate to create visualizations reflecting various KPIs and financial performance.
Partner cross-functionally with Data/BI teams to ensure accuracy of internal data tools used for reporting.
Gather data to analyze, identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, and interpret the findings.
Develop and maintain models using Excel and other business intelligence tools to guide capital allocation decisions.

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in economics, real estate, finance, philosophy, and/or data analytics required.
1-2+ years of experience in investment management, real estate, data analytics/business intelligence, or financial planning & analysis.
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint).
Strong financial literacy with the ability to interpret and analyze general business trends.
An ownership mentality – self-starter who is comfortable taking the initiative to make a meaningful impact.
Curious and inquisitive mindset with a continuous desire to learn and build.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
