RBC is a leading bank in Canada, and they are seeking a Data Analyst to join their Client Data Analytics team. The analyst will be responsible for monitoring and performance analysis of client onboarding activities, producing metrics, and identifying action plans around KPIs and KRIs.
Ensure data is consistently maintained to agreed operational and regulatory standards throughout the client lifecycle
Help maintain & monitor an inventory of data & key controls showing ownership, frequency and SLA’s across the client lifecycle
Support the development of actionable ongoing management reporting that is focused on trends and includes proactive identification and reporting of emerging risks (KPIs and KRIs)
Monitor the metrics from the risk and control framework and ensure that the ongoing health of the processes are monitored
Ensure sustainable remedial action when issues are identified
Proactively identify operational risks/control deficiencies in the business and opportunities to improve the team & client experience
Collaborate to create processes and monitoring tools, following a risk based approach including appropriate exception management and escalation policies
Support ongoing reporting that is focused on trends and emerging risks from different sources of information across business units
Support the creation of a consolidated view of risk and performance, including initiatives, compliance deficiencies and corrective action
Qualification
Required
Undergraduate degree
2 - 3+ years of Capital Markets experience
Quantitative analytic skills, including experience with data analysis and data presentation
Strong database experience
Expertise in one or more of Python, VBA, and Tableau
MS Office, with particular expertise in Excel and PowerPoint
Superior verbal & written communication skills
Superior analytical & problem solving skills
Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity in a difficult/stressful work environment
Demonstrated knowledge & experience with risk and quality control frameworks
Collaboration & team skills; with a focus on cross-group collaboration
Preferred
Formal qualifications as Graduate or Post-Graduate Level
Knowledge of products and operations of Capital Markets, Investment Banking
Creative thought process and ability to innovate
Attention to detail while working with high volume of data and transactions
